Campitos turquoise has its own recognizably distinctive look. Its matrix doesn't sit quietly in the background; instead, it's as major a player as the turquoise material it hosts. The rich warm brown cuts through sky blue and teal-green in bold, uneven strokes, giving the stone some serious visual appeal. Turquoise from this area is known for vivid color and a strong matrix, with nothing subtle about it.
Spheres in various sizes arc across the top of the setting. Each sphere is individually placed so the grouping gives a "frilled" effect which ornaments the stone, rather than overpowering it. Using mostly larger spheres creates a chunkier feeling that balances the dramatic details of this gem.

About Campitos Turquoise
Campitos turquoise comes from the Cananea mines in Sonora, Mexico, one of the most consistently productive turquoise sources in North America. The mine produces stones known for vivid blue-green color and strong brown ironstone matrix. The matrix is part of what makes Campitos immediately recognizable, a geological signature that no treatment or imitation can convincingly reproduce. Color ranges from pale sky blue to deep teal-green depending on copper and iron content. Campitos turquoise is prized among collectors and jewelers for its color saturation and the visual weight its matrix brings to a finished piece.
