Victorian Button Arrow Pendant, Sterling Silver Talisman Charm, Guidance Jewelry, Direction and Protection

An arrow points in one direction and means several things at once: forward movement, focused intention, the pursuit of a goal. It's also a symbol of protection because in many traditions, an arrow is a ward against what comes at you from behind. And an arrow can only be launched by first drawing back. In times of struggle, that's worth remembering.

The arrow has been a meaningful symbol across cultures for as long as people have carried them: in Indigenous American traditions, in Greek and Roman mythology, in alchemical symbolism, in modern tattoo culture.

This pendant is cast from an antique Victorian-era button, produced between 1837 and 1901. If you wear Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the arrow, this pendant pairs naturally with her. Both are in my shop.

Cast in sterling silver, hallmarked Blue Piranha and stamped .925. The pendant measures ¾ inch (1.9 cm) long and ½ inch (1.3 cm) wide, smaller than a U.S. dime. Weight is 2 grams.
