Tiffany Stone Dangle Earrings, Sterling Silver, Black White Round Cabochon, A-Frame Design, Statement Jewelry
Description
Tiffany stone without its signature purple is a different proposition entirely. These cabochons are working in a darker register: deep gray, near-black, and warm brown, with a bright white vein cutting through each stone in an uneven path. A closer look shows a faint lavender wash in the lighter areas, the stone's signature color present but restrained. The overall effect is less gemstone and more landscape, the kind of terrain you'd see from altitude, with a frozen river bisecting dark ground on a winter day.
The round cabochons in this pair were chosen for the graphic quality of the white veining against the dark ground, and for the way the composition shifts slightly between the two stones without losing coherence. The nature of this material means that the pattern is never identical.
The A-frame setting provides a gleaming contrast to the dramatic gems. Two curved, textured bars sweep outward and down from a small loop at the top, widening as they descend to meet the bezel-set round at the base. Silver spheres sit at intervals along the bars. The metalwork is structured, deliberate, with nothing unnecessary.
Hallmarked Blue Piranha and .925. Earrings measure 2¼ inches (5.7 cm) long from the top of the ear wire, and ¾ inch (1.9 cm) wide. Weight is 15.5 grams. Set on sterling silver ear wires.
A lever back option is available, please see photos and note your preference at checkout.

About Tiffany Stone:
Found only in Western Utah, this unusual stone is composed of predominantly opalized fluorite, with a predominant purple hue. It's also often found mixed with many other minerals such as quartz, chalcedony, dolomite, rhodonite, and manganese oxides, giving it a fairly wide range of subtle colors, though the soft purple is the best known.
