Two heads, one body, no beginning and no end. The double-headed snake has been a symbol of transformation and the cycle of life across many cultures and centuries. Its infinity shape represents the continuous movement of energy through birth, death, and rebirth. The two heads also suggest something more immediate: the ability to move in two directions, to make different choices, to change course. This is a pendant about possibility as much as it is about cycles.

The specific creature depicted here has a name: the amphisbaena. In Greek mythology, it was born from drops of blood that fell from Medusa's severed head. From that same death came Pegasus and the giant Chrysaor. The amphisbaena is the lesser-known of the three, but not the least interesting. A creature that moves in both directions, born from an act of violence and a moment of transformation, carrying Medusa's legacy into the world on its own terms.

These earrings are cast from a vintage original in sterling silver, hallmarked Blue Piranha and stamped .925. The pendant measures 1½ inches (3.8 cm) long and ½ inch (1.3 cm) wide. Weight is 2 grams.
